You’re missing the point. People get macs for the operating system. I am well aware PCs are cheaper I’ll never deny that for a second, but the OS is what mac users opts for. If you care about performance and are a mac user you get a MacBook Pro or Mac Pro which is packed with performance but is more expensive than other macs and many PCs. But you get what you pay for which is a higher quality OS
with that much money you are able to buy a PC with alot more power such as: C2D E8400, 2GB DDR2 and ATI 4870 1GB, not to mention you could upgrade your hardware in the future without having to sell your left kidney.
So. In other words. Faces and places are consumerversions of technologies allready in use by who ever is able to afford the bigger Versions. Its not just, via surveillance cameras, seeing everything we do anymore. Now the connected comps know who we are. Great. … Im gonna use faces a lot and let it phone mama all the time.

As far as assuming all PC’s are virus ridden, I don’t. It’s the difference between an AK47 and an M16. Both will fire, but one takes a huge amount of cleaning and upkeep to MAKE it fire.

I think macs are great machines. However, I was really upset when Macbooks stopped providing a removable battery. I mean, if you have Macbook connected to power 24/7, battery is going to degrade very quickly. So removable battery is a must when using laptop as a desktop replacement.
Seriously, Apple pisses me the fuck off. All they have to do is lower their prices. Maybe make a budget laptop.. and they’ll see how many people come running. Fuck the Mac Mini. I don’t want to use a Mac on an ugly gray Sunco monitor. No one except gamers is a Windows user by choice. Everyone wants a Mac, but they can’t afford it. I really wish they would fail again, and then have to resort to lowering their prices.

My wife has spent a hundred bucks here, and a hundred bucks there for a decent mouse, a decent webcam, a decent printer/scanner, etc. But the big bomber has been *dun dun dun* Viruses. The number of times her computer has crashed, burned, been infected, or otherwise decided to crap out… it’s amazing. My Mac? not once. So, including extra peripherals and trips to a repair shop…My mac is still cheaper.
well yeah but thats because microsoft really fucked up with vista. the only reason i switched from mac in the os 8 days to a pc was because it was just cheaper.
