@robharding1957 I’m 28 and I love Badfinger (though I didn’t get a chance to interview anybody from the band). I, too, am saddened that more attention is not paid.
oh this brings make memores they were brilliant ,,,thanks sunsets xxxhugs to you both m,,,,,,,,,,,shame!! i remember my first disoc dances to their songs,,,,,,,,beautiful xxxxbabs
Sad tale of natural musical greatness ruined by greed…the girl was right…we did lose innocence. Betryal once again stops greatness. Yet, their music lives on.
jethro, great to hear bout another young badfinger fan who found this great band even though they were at their peak before you were born, they just keep coming as the years pass, new music is seldom the best, nice story young man,
They weren’t underrated by the people who matter. Let’s face it, the masses in this world like shit (Madonna, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus for Christ’s sake). I wouldn’t want Badfinger included with those band of talentless freakazoids in the Hall of Shame (yuk). They are great and like all things special there just isn`t enough of them on this planet (people are too interested in listening to rap!!)
Badfinger is one of my favorite bands of all time. The amazing thing about them is that throughout it all their music was amazing…the entire way through. During the pain and torture they were still making awesome music…
Oh and anybody who reads this, go and find Dan Matovina’s bio on Badfinger. It’s the only book on Badfinger. Could use an update with the deaths of Mike Gibbins and Joey Molland’s wife, Kathy.
I’m 18 and I got into Badfinger at 10 years old. I own all their albums and interview Bob Jackson once. I love Badfinger. I wish more people liked them.
If anyone would like to add their support in my campaign to get Swansea City Council to honour Badfinger then please join the face book group – petition swansea council to honour the band badfinger, thanks and spread the word with your friends
Beg, borrow or steal the book “Without You: The Tragic Story Of Badfinger.” Tells it all and much better done than this doc. Ridiculous reseach. I’ve re-read three times. There’s a reason it sells for hundreds of dollars!
Thank you so much for posting this, been looking for it. Badfinger is tragic in the Shakespearean sense of the word. What talent, what unrealized potential. Stan Polley will get what he’s got coming to him. To anyone reading this: google Badfinger to the rock and roll hall of fame, and sign the petition to get these guys inducted!
Badfinger was truly an awesome band in a way they were the new Beatles.
@johnny10301968 – Not before time.
I still possess and treasure all of the Badfinger LPs on vinyl. They really were a wonderful band.

Pete Ham’s voice always made me want to cry.He had such emotion in his voice.A much underated band who deserved better.
Wish THEY were here!!!
This is the saddest story there ever was in rock.

I missed the boat with this band too bad their music was never released it’s absolutely timeless.
That’s an understatement.
The most underrated group ever.
