Many years back, I decided to become a single parent through the adoption process. I was excited about this process and about choosing a son. The adoption went smoothly and I was in for a world of new experiences. Several other parents have told me the very same thing. Laughter and Smiles ! My son was 3 years old when I brought him home and he was special needs. In particular, he was diagnosed with Autism. His room was quite large with two small closets. Within a year's time, I realized that more space was needed in his bedroom because of all the "things' he collected. For example, he loved Legos and had to have them separated by size and color. Each had to be kept in it's own container. This held true for all of his possessions. He also collected Boogie Bags ! What I needed, were affordable Wire closet organizers. Why would I choose Wire closet organizers for this particular problem-solving strategy ? Well, they were easily re-arranged based on the current needs of my son. They were sturdy and held up well to being moved around on a frequent basis. The organization they afforded, and the increased visibility of his toys, reduced the levels of stress that he would experience throughtout his days. With more floor space freed up as a result of using Wire closet organizers, he had room to set up building platforms in the middle of his bedroom. He was truly a very, creative, young person ! I marveled at the degree of focus he displayed when creating his towns based on something he saw out in the world and/or in a picture book. Because he was so detailed, he required many more things to use for building. This included Q-tips, thread, low gauge string, markers, molding clay etc. I have pictures of these elaborate creations. As he grew, so too did his desire for more space and more organization. It was a full time job helping him remain organized and it could not have been done without the existence of Wire closet organizers. They really saved my life and kept it all affordable. My son is in care now, and he is doing well. His staff tell me stories about how he constantly moves his bedroom furniture and how it falls apart. I smile to myself and share some of my own stories of his younger years. During my last visit to him, I noticed that my son's staff purchased and set up some of the same organizers that I had used in our home. Good for them.
